Scaling Getir from a single app to a multi-vertical web platform
From a mobile-only product with no website to a multi-vertical web ecosystem and Atlas, the design system that keeps everything consistent.

Intro
I spent three years at Getir as a product designer, joining at a time when the company had no website at all and operated only through its mobile app. In my first weeks, I was asked to design and launch the first version of getir.com on a very tight deadline. That project quickly expanded into leading the entire web ecosystem and later the design system for both web and mobile.
Before
No marketing or product website, only the mobile app.
Founders needed a fast way to present Getir on the web and support growth and partnerships.
No shared design language across teams: colors, typography, and spacing were all handled differently by each designer.
No documented design system for the mobile apps or web, which made scaling the product slower and inconsistent.
After
Launched the first version of getir.com in roughly two months, following a two week design sprint and founder review.
Applied a mobile first approach to the web, translating the existing app experience into a clear, responsive web interface.
Designed and led the web experience for new verticals including GetirYemek, GetirBüyük, GetirSu, and GetirÇarşı, all built on a shared component system.
Introduced a unified design system for mobile and web, covering color, typography, spacing, components, and interaction patterns.
Helped the teams move from ad hoc design decisions to a consistent, scalable design language.
My role & approach
Led the design of the first getir.com experience from concept to handoff, working directly with the founders under a two week design deadline.
Defined the web design system and component library so each vertical could be shipped quickly while staying visually consistent.
Designed GetirAraç from scratch as a separate mobile app, then fed learnings back into the broader system.
Identified the need for a formal design system as the team grew and created Atlas, Getir’s internal design system.
Documented Atlas and collaborated closely with lead developers to translate it into code so designers and engineers could build from the same source of truth.
Impact
The website and design system work turned Getir’s digital presence from a single mobile app into a unified multi vertical ecosystem. The launch of getir.com gave the company a strong web presence, while Atlas provided a shared foundation that reduced duplication, sped up design and development, and kept new products like GetirYemek and GetirBüyük visually and functionally aligned with the core Getir experience.
